Hosts were former Matilda footballer Amy Chapman and sports journalist Adam Peacock, who recognised the contributions of volunteers, players, coaches, referees, and clubs. They acknowledged what a special year of football it was with the FIFA Women’s World Club hosted on home soil (Australia/New Zealand and including Queensland.)

It was also a special year for the Knights First Men’s Team, winning their third trophy for the season on September 17, 2023, defeating Moreton Bay 1-0 in the National Premier Leagues Queensland competition final.

At the Football in Queensland Awards, clubs presented their own regional awards before state award winners were presented across the six categories of: community, service to football, referees, futsal, advanced club, and competitions.
